About this site

This site is my portfolio and a place to gather musings, learnings and case studies in one place. It's also a working experiment — I use it to learn in public and practice what I preach on accessibility and design quality.

How it's built

The site is built with Astro 6 and styled with Tailwind CSS v4. Content is written in Markdown. Source code is hosted on GitHub and deployed via GitHub Pages with a custom domain.

It was previously built in Notion and hosted via Super.so. The migration to Astro resolved all previously known accessibility issues on the old site.

This accessibility statement applies to mussond.com.

My commitment

I want as many people as possible to be able to use this site. That means, among other things, you should be able to:

Navigate all content using a keyboard alone
Navigate using a screen reader
Zoom in up to 400% without content breaking or losing information
Use the site in both light and dark mode
Use the site with motion reduced, respecting your OS preference

Compliance status

This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. I run automated checks with axe-core and supplement these with manual testing.

Known issues

I'm not aware of any current WCAG 2.2 Level AA failures. If you find one, please let me know.
